An incredible walk with lions through the lush forest; unique and thrilling!

This unique experience comes with a great sense of excitement and allows you to get up close to real lions, watch how the run and play and interact with them. The lions are truly amazing creatures and being the second biggest cat of our planet, this activity is only for those that are wild at heart. Upon arrival you will be warmly welcomed and taken to the lion reserve by special safari bus. You will be provided with a safety briefing first, after which you will get into the enclosure to start your walk with the king of the Savannah.

The walk takes place in the national park of Casela, giving you the feeling of actually walking through the wild. As the lion walks freely with you, you can get into close contact with them. As long as you respect the lions, the lions will respect you! The lions’ handlers will accompany you at all time, guaranteeing maximum safety. After the walk you will be offered some refreshment, followed by an explanation of the conservation program of the lions.

This activity must be booked together with entrance to the Casela Park. Included in this entry ticket are: a fun ride at the Toboggan slides, entrance to the thrilling Tulawaka Gold Coaster, a walk through the aviary, a safari through the ‘savannah’, entrance to the Big Cat Kingdom and the Monkey Kingdom, interactions at the petting farm and the tortoise pen, a 4D cinema and of course encounters with many wonderful animal species!


Terms and conditions

  • The minimum age to take part in this activity is 15 years.
  • All participants must be physically and mentally able to follow the instructions and perform the activity.
  • Participants should not suffer from hearing or visual impairments for safety reasons.
  • The minimum height to take part in this activity is 150cm.
  • The Big Cat keepers have the right to not let a customer participate if the restrictions and rules are not met.
  • The minimum age to ride solo in the Tulawaka coaster is 12, with a minimum height of 1.40m. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the tandem ride.


  • The safety briefing will be in French and English.
  • The park is closed on December 25 and January 1.
  • The walking with lions takes 1 hour, and the visit to the whole park 3-5 hours.
  • This activity is offered at set time slots: 09.15 , 10.00 , 10.30 , 14.00 and 15.30.
  • There is the opportunity to go on a private walk with the lions against additional payment. A DVD with pictures and videos of your experience is included in the price.


  • The giraffe feeding is offered at 10.30 , 12.30 , 13.30 and 15.30.
  • The duration of the feeding of the giraffes is 10 minutes.
  • The tortoises can be fed from 09.30 till 16.30.
  • The lorikeet feeding activity is offered at 10.30 , 13.30 and 15.30.
  • The duration of the feeding of the lorikeets is 5 to 10 minutes.
  • The petting farm is opened between 09.30 and 16.30.
  • The park is closed on December 25 and January 1.
