Your visit will start at Domaine des Aubineaux, which has been converted into a museum dedicated to tea. The colonial decorations have been taken well cared of and can still be found in the house. The tour at this house will continue with an exploration of the gardens, where you will find a diversity of exotic plants and trees.
Your next stop is the tea factory Bois Chéri. This is the first and biggest tea producer of Mauritius and has been operating ever since 1892. Explore the history of tea plantations and taste some delicious variations.
Your last point of interest is Domain Saint Aubin, the colonial house that was home to several managers of the sugar estate. It is over here that you will also learn more about the vanilla process.
We recommend ending your day at Le Saint Aubin restaurant, where you can have a delicious typical Mauritian meal consisting of Palm heart salad, smoked marlin, chicken in vanilla with rice, stir fried vegetables, lentil soup and chutneys, finishing with caramelized banana with toffee sauce.

Tour Reviews
Absolutely amazing experience! We tasted sugarcane juice, sugar, vanilla, all different kinds of tea and at the end we had nice rum tasting of more than 10 kinds of rum. We also had lunch at the colonial house as recommended. Especially we loved our driver Afshan who guided us perfectly! Must things to do in Mauritius!
