You will start your day with a visit to the Trou aux Cerfs crater, a spectacular depth with a crater lake which reminds of the time of active volcanoes at the island.

Discover the only winery in the world dedicated exclusively to the production of lychee wines, which will make you live a unique and enriching experience. Takamaka Boutique Winery was born out of the conviction of a passionate winemaker who took up the challenge of producing wine from lychees. Complete the visit with a tasting – a true treat for your tastebuds.

Grand bassin, also known as Ganga Talao is situated about 550m above sea level in the crater of an extinct volcano. Mauritians of Hindu faith declared Grand Bassin as a sacred lake believing that the water inside is connected with the water of the Holy Ganges of India. Every year the Hindu believers performs pilgrimage there on the occasion of Maha Shivratree (Shiva’s night). During the visit, you will be able to see the impressive statue of Lord Shiva next to the lake – the highest statue in Mauritius and among the 50 highest statue in the world.

On your way towards the south west you will drive through the largest natural park of Mauritius, Black River Gorges Natural Park, where you will make a stop to see the breath-taking Alexandra Falls.

End the day with a stop at Chamarel 7 colored earths and waterfalls. Set in the middle of lush green vegetation, this unique geological oddity is one of those amazing creations of nature that just make you go “Wow”. Red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow. An almost surreal, lunar-like spectacle of rainbow-hued sand dunes unfolds before your eyes, leaving you utterly mesmerized. The undulating strips of multi-coloured sand that spontaneously settle in different layers are one of the most photographed and visited sights on the island. They sit in an open clearing whose lower edge is skirted by an endemic plant garden highlighting the natural heritage of Mauritius.
